The Best Paper Award Committee considered five Best Paper candidates with excellent review scores. Criteria for selection include originality, rigour, and significance taking consideration of the submitted papers, reviews, and video presentations. All the Best Paper candidates were considered to be of excellent quality by all members of the committee.

Important Update - IEEE ICBC 2021 will run as a virtual conference on 3-6 May 2021.
The ICBC 2021 Organizing Committee, with the support of IEEE, has been monitoring the evolving COVID-19 pandemic. We have been studying the announcements, guidance, and news released by relevant global and national organizations, such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The safety and well-being of all conference participants is our top priority.
The Organizing Committee, with the full support of the IEEE Communications Society, will hold this conference in a virtual setting.
We extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all of our technical community for your understanding and community engagement. Although the IEEE ICBC 2021 cannot be held physically, the integrity and quality of the research and content will remain and now be experienced in the virtual environment. ICBC 2021 is the third installment of the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) sponsored conference on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. It will feature keynotes, tutorials, peer-reviewed technical paper presentations, posters, demos, a hackathon, and exhibitions from world-leading service providers, solution vendors, research institutes, open-source projects, and academia. A select number of papers based on the peer review process will be invited to submit an extended version for publication in a Special Issue of the IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management. ICBC 2021 is the primary forum for the technical exchange of the latest research and innovation, regulation, policies, standards, and applications in the exciting and emerging area of blockchain and cryptocurrency.
